About Me

I’m Sandra Todd a wife and mother. I live in Stourport on Severn in Worcestershire and have been in the weight management and fitness industry for over ten years!

I have always had a weight issue throughout my childhood right into my university studies. Before I graduated in design and manufacturing in Jewellery and Silversmithing in 2001 I lost just over 3 stone. Having struggled with weight for so many years I decided to go into weight management and fitness. I started off owning a franchised business in September 2003 until May 2014 which is where I went on to running my own business with a different dietary approach to weight loss to benefit long term health. I now run my own fitness studio and nutrition centre since July 2016 in Kidderminster, Worcestershire but help clients all over the country.

My passion is helping everyone to get into an ideal weight safely and effectively and discovered I wanted more than just a weight loss solution. All diets work to a certain extent whether that’s counting syns, points, meal replacement shakes or taking pills and potions. This is when I discovered that nutrition is medicine and I strongly believe that health is far more important than just weight loss.

I then went onto study a Masters’ degree in exercise and nutrition Science at the university of Chester. The module on “Nutrition for health” really started to open doors for me and gave me a massive light bulb moment. This is where I discovered and started to investigate nutrition for prevention of primary and secondary breast cancer in overweight and obese female population. My business at this point was predominantly female and having clients who have been through surgery and treatment and come out the other side to live to tell the tale really made me want to support and help more through nutrition and exercise.

This led to my final dissertation where I specialised in a 12- week diet trial which was titled “Obesity related to breast cancer and which diet gave the overall positive outcomes to reduce overall risk” on a healthy female population, where I gained a distinction.

After completion of the Masters’ degree it has since led to further opportunities and achievements which are as follows:

March 2016- Graduated
April 2016- Visiting lecturer at the University of Chester lecturing on the dietary approaches MSc module
May 2016- Presented my research at the “European Obesity Summit” in Sweden
April 2017- Visiting lecturer for second year running at the University of Chester on the dietary approaches MSc module
April 2017- Pink ribbon post rehabilitation exercise course to get patients who have been through breast cancer surgery and reconstruction to get their quality of life and full range of movement safely and as quickly as possible.

I now work with overweight clients who are either concerned about breast cancer want primary prevention, or been through it and want to prevent secondary breast cancer on a 1-2-1 basis or in live group sessions by teaching and educating through exercise, nutrition, environment, mindset and lifestyle coaching for females over the age of forty whether peri- menopause, menopause or post menopause state.
